Event Calendar

Dayton Memorial Library’s March exhibit is one of a series of satellite exhibits celebrating Denver’s MoPrint 2018 (Month of Printmaking Series). The series features both prints and book works by artists who primarily work in the book arts field. The Dayton Memorial Library exhibit includes work by artists living in Austria, The Netherlands and The United States. Works will be on view beginning March 2, and continuing through April.

The series was curated by Alicia Bailey, Abecedarian Artists’ Books, Denver, Colorado.               

A second MoPrint exhibit, Women and the Printed Page, will be on view at the O’Sullivan Gallery on the Regis campus from March 15 – April 12.  A talk with the curator will take place at O’Sullivan Gallery on March 22 from 7 to 8 pm.

Join us for an evening featuring two events, the Alumni Matrix and the Innovation Challenge.

 The 2nd Annual Alumni Matrix Meetup portion is from 5pm to 7pm, in Lot 4 at Lowell Blvd. and 52nd Ave. FOR INVITED REGIS MEMBERS AND FRIENDS TO NETWORK. Stop by the Sign-In tent, and mingle at the food trucks, beer garden, Alumni and Rangers tent, and swag tent. In the main tent, the welcome address starts at 5:30pm, followed by our keynote speaker at 6:00pm (Vic Ahmed, Founder/CEO of the Innovation Pavilion).

 The Regis Innovation Challenge competition is from 7pm to 9pm, in Peter Claver Hall, Mountain View Room. OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Nine teams (students, alumni, partners), who have been working for seven months, will pitch their business plans to a panel of judges, and the audience will also be able to vote. First, second, and third prize winners will be announced at the end and receive financial support for their businesses.

About 780,000 people were covered under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program, or DACA.

In September 2017, the current administration announced that the program would be discontinued.

Dreamers is a half-hour film profiling five DACA participants, their past, and their present.
