The Regis University men’s basketball team will host the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament on Tuesday.
Third-seeded Regis will host No. 6 University of Colorado at Colorado Springs at 6 p.m.
The winner will advance to Friday’s semifinals where they will play the winner of No. 2 Dixie State University versus No. 7 New Mexico Highlands University. The highest remaining seed will host Friday’s game.
The women’s basketball team also plays on Tuesday in the RMAC tournament. Regis plays at 7 p.m. at MSU Denver.
As it’s spring break for students, Athletics and Admissions are hosting a Fat Tuesday celebration for staff and faculty. The party beings at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in the second floor stands of the Field House. There will be a King Cake, hurricanes, beads and other giveaways. Faculty and staff are encouraged to stay for the game.
Those who bring a canned good will have a chance to win a Chauncey Billups-signed basketball.
The first 50 Regis staff at the game are free. Otherwise, the cost is $10 per person.
