Studying Biology at Regis
Students studying a minor in biology at Regis learn the nature of scientific inquiry, the fundamentals of modern biology and how to apply that knowledge in larger contexts.
The minor in Biology is designed to provide a broad knowledge of science including a strong background in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The minor is designed for those interested in developing their understanding an application of the natural sciences.
The recognition that inquiry is at the heart of science means that we not only strive to teach students biology but we strive to teach students how to be responsible biologists.
Biology Minors Requirements:
BL 258--Principles of Biology: Organismic 3 SH (offered every Fall)
BL 259--Organismic Biology Laboratory 1 SH (offered every Fall)
BL 260--Principles of Biology: Molecular and Cellular* 3 SH (offered every Spring)
BL 261--Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory 1 SH (offered every Spring)
Upper Division Biology Electives 12 SH – Must include one laboratory course. The Biology Minor may include BL 498.
