Studying Political Economy at Regis
Regis' minor in political economy addresses the interrelationships between politics and economics in both the national and international arenas. It examines links between economic organization, cultural forces, political institutions, and government policy, using the tools of several disciplines. The program is grounded in the basic skills of economics, and grows from a belief that the integrated study of economics and political science has a rich humanistic tradition anchored in fundamental human values. Political economy students should have an ability to engage in abstract and theoretical thought, a desire to engage in written and oral debate, and a broad interest in contemporary world affairs.
