Regis University seeks community musicians

Regis University is inviting community members to join their Concert Band this coming spring semester. Regis University requires vaccines and boosters for its employees and students, so everyone, including community members, must show proof of complete Covid vaccination.

The Regis University Band is open to all community members. There are no fees or costs – the band is totally free of charge. All band members must make more than 50% of all rehearsals in order to participate.

Community members of all abilities are encouraged to join the Concert Band offered from the Music Program. Current community member ages vary from 22 to 75.

The Regis University Concert Band is open to musicians of all abilities who play flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, tuba, percussion and string bass. The Regis Band requires no audition. The 4:35-7:05 p.m. rehearsals take place on Thursdays, on the Claver Recital Hall stage (Regis University, just N. of 50th Ave. and Lowell Blvd, Parking Lot 4).

Rehearsals are each week, from Thursday, January 13, through the concerts on Thursday, April 21, except for January 27 and March 3.

Please contact Ed Cannava, director of bands, at ecannava@regis.edu or 303-328-7277, if you would like to participate. Please let Dr. Cannava know what instrument(s) you play. Please also contact him if you have any questions or need more information.
