C. The Policy
- Upon the submission of either a Reentry Form or a new Admissions Application by a former student who did not previously complete their program of study at Regis University, the student shall have the opportunity to register for and begin courses for up to three consecutive terms. If within these three consecutive terms, the returning student does not register for courses, Student Services and Academic Records will close and inactive the student’s account.
- If the student communicates to Student Services prior to the conclusion of the three consecutive terms, that he or she does intend to enroll in courses, the student will be given the opportunity to do so within two additional consecutive terms.
- Should the student not enroll in courses within the two additional consecutive terms, the student’s academic program will be inactivated by Student Services and Academic Records.
- Student Services will process a Reentry Form or Returning Student’s Application by sending it to Academic Records to ensure that the student’s program is activated. Once, activated, the student will be assigned a New Student Coach who will contact the student within 24 hours of receiving the student’s file. The New Student Coach will continuously work with the student to complete all onboarding, orientation and registration procedures. Should the student not respond or communicate to Student Services or the New Student Coach for three consecutive terms, Student Services will request that Academic Records deactivate the student’s academic program.
- Should the student communicate at the end of, or prior to the end of, the three consecutive terms that they do intend to enroll in courses, they will be contacted and assisted by the New Student Coach for an additional two consecutive terms to successfully register and complete all orientation and onboarding steps.
- If, within the additional two consecutive terms, the student is non-responsive and non-communicative, Student Services will request Academic Records to inactivate the student’s academic program.
