2019-2020 First-Year & Transfer Student Housing Sign-Up Information

March 5, 2019, 9 a.m.  Housing Sign-Up opens online for First-Year and Transfer students.
February 5, 2019         Special Accommodation Requests and documentation are due.
May 1 - May 28           Select your roommate by signing back onto The Front Porch.
May 28, 2019              Dates and time slots are emailed to all students to select their rooms.
May 29 - May 31         Sign back onto The Front Porch to select your room.
June 15                      Housing assignments will be emailed to your Regis email.

2019-2020 Upperclassmen Housing Sign-Up Information:

December 3, 2018  Upperclassman application opens

February 8, 2019        Special Accommodation Requests are due (You must complete the request each time you sign up for housing.)

  • All documentation (medical information, exemptions, etc.) should be submitted to the Office of Disability Services directly. 
  • Students are emailed by Friday, February 15, 2019 with results
March 1, 2019 Phase 1 closes  

March 7, 2019            All JR/SR will be notified if they have been offered housing. (Sophomores are required to live on campus and therefore will be offered housing.) 

March 11 - March 29   Phase 2 opens for students who have been offered housing. A $300.00 non-refundable deposit will be required at this time.  Students in Phase 2 of housing sign-up will be asked to find/confirm roommates by visiting the Front Porch.

April 1, 2019  Phase 3 opens and students with confirmed roommate groups will be emailed a lottery time to select halls/rooms by logging back into the Front Porch.  

April 4, 2019  All students without confirmed roommate groups who have been offered housing will be emailed a time slot to select a room. 

June 15, 2019  Housing assignments will be emailed to all students. 

Boryla Apartments 

  December 3, 2019    Phase 1 of the Boryla Application Opens

  March 1, 2019    Phase 1 will close.

  March 4, 2019 – March 6, 2019    Current residents renewing into a 12 month contract and wishing to change their room can start the room selection process. They will be required to select their room, pay the non-refundable deposit and sign the 12 month contract.  

  March 7, 2019    New applicants and renewals into a 10 Month Contract will be notified by email if they are offered a space.

  March 11, 2019 – March 21, 2019 Phase 2 opens for new applicants and renewals into a 10 Month Contract.  Applicants who are offered space will be able to select and verify roommates. Residence Life will work with roommate groups and single individuals on selecting rooms based on availability and roommate groups.

10 Month Initial Contract - August 15, 2019 – May 31, 2020

12 Month Contract - June 1, 2019 – May 31, 2020

If you are not offered a spot a wait-list will be generated. Please email to be added to the wait-list. 

If you are going to be a first-year student for the upcoming academic year, you are eligible to live in either O'Connell Hall or DeSmet Hall. There is also limited space in West Hall for first year students. 

If you are going to be an incoming transfer student for the upcoming academic year and you 1) have lived in a college/university residence hall for at least two consecutive semesters (not including summer) or 2) are over the age of 21, you are eligible to live in either West Hall, Residence Village or Ignatian Village.


If you have a disability or medical condition that requires you to have special accommodations such as a single room, please submit your written request with the below required documentation by a doctor or licensed mental health professional by the request due date of each year to Student Disability Services. Please do not submit documentation to Residence Life.

Documentation must be on letterhead from a physician or licensed mental health professional and include the following:

  • A diagnosis.
  • Is impact of the condition life threatening if the request is not met?
  • Is there a negative health impact that may be permanent if the request is not met?
  • Is the request an integral component of a treatment plan for the condition in question?
  • What is the likely impact on academic performance if the request is not met?
  • What is the likely impact on social development if the request is not met?

A decision about your request will be made by a panel of professionals who will notify you of the decision in writing.  Please note these decisions are kept confidential. Disability/medical requests will be evaluated in conjunction with the housing sign up timeline.

Disability/Medical Housing Requests for Returning Students

All students MUST reapply for a disability or medical single room each academic year. If you wish to continue having a disability or medical single room or would like to request a disability or medical single room for the academic year, you must submit current and complete documentation to Student Disability Services & University Testing by May 10, 2019.  For questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

Summer Housing

On-campus housing is available to undergraduate students currently enrolled in Regis College or Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. Students will reside in a Residence Village unit or in an off-campus house (Ignatian Village). Throughout the summer, there is a student staff presence in each summer housing site, 24-hour emergency on-call staff support, and building access by a room key only.

Summer Housing Rates

  • Summer Housing will begin May 10, 2019 and end August 2, 2019.
  • The cost for Ignatian Village summer housing is $550 per month which includes utilities(water, gas, electricity, internet, and TV services) and furniture.
  • There is a 4 week minimum stay required.
  • Summer Housing will be hosted in Ignatian Village Homes.
  • Student will not be charged additional fees for parking at the Ignatian Village Homes.
  • We will offer shared house with 2 - 4 roommates with single rooms, full bathrooms and full kitchens.
  • Residence Life will provide support and resources throughout the summer (On Call Staff, events, and resources).
  • Deadline to sign up for summer housing is April 15, 2019
  • Students will be required to move out of the their summer housing assignment on Friday August 2, 2019

Community Guides

Regis University encourages its summer students to enjoy our campus facilities. However, consistent with its educational mission, Regis University reserves the right to regulate and/or prohibit certain activities within the boundaries of the campus. All summer students are required to abide by the Student Code of Conduct as outlined in the Student Handbook. Students in violation of the Code of Conduct may be removed from their summer housing and will be processed through the Regis University disciplinary system.
