Unique Online Courses for Undergraduates

Through the Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities (OCICU), Regis University partners with other member institutions to give undergraduate students access to online classes not currently offered at Regis.

Highlights of this program:

  • With permission from their advisor, OCICU courses may be taken by undergraduate students to meet undergraduate degree requirements.
  • Undergraduate students register as Regis students and pay the current Regis tuition rate for online courses.
  • Courses may be applied toward a Regis undergraduate degree and are financial aid eligible.

Available Courses

NOTE: undergraduate students must contact their advisor and obtain his or her permission to register for any OCICU course.

You can find a list of available OCICU courses on WebAdvisor. Here's how:

  1. Log in to WebAdvisor.
  2. Select Students.
  3. Select Search for Sections and Course Materials in the Registration section of links.
  4. Select a Variables option in the Term dropdown menu.
  5. Select Online Consortium in the Subjects dropdown menu.
  6. Click on Submit.

Term Dates

The schedule/dates of your OCICU course may not match the Regis University Academic Calendar. Dates for a specific course will be included in the Meeting Information column of your OCICU course search results in WebAdvisor.

Course Registration

After confirming that you can take an OCICU course with your faculty advisor, you can register for the course in WebAdvisor or by calling the OCICU Help Line at 1.877.740.5959.

Registration Confirmation

Because your course is being provided at an institution other than Regis University, we are unable to guarantee your registration until we receive confirmation from the providing institution. Students will be notified as soon as possible if there is an issue regarding their enrollment.

Course Materials

You will need to obtain all course-required materials through the institution providing your course. Detailed instructions for searching and ordering materials are available on the OCICU website. Here's how to find them:

  1. Go to the Find a Course under Students of the OCICU website.
  2. Select Regis University as your home university in the Select Member Institution dropdown menu.
  3. Search for your course (if you are unsure what course number to search for, please contact OCICU)
  4. Select Details
  5. Select Order Books
  6. Follow the directions exactly as they appear

If you have a Regis University Financial Aid Book Voucher, contact the Regis University bookstore at least three (3) weeks prior to your course's start date to make arrangements for purchasing course materials.

Course Access

You will access your course through the providing institution's online course platform. Directions for course access will be sent to your Regis email account by the providing institution prior to the term start.

Tuition & Payments

The tuition for an OCICU course will be the same as a Regis University online course and will be due by the 1st day of the academic term. You can pay tuition through WebAdvisor, in person at any Regis Campus or by calling Student Accounts at 303.458.4126 or 800.568.8932. See financial aid information.

Course Drop and Withdrawal Policies

Drop Policy

You have until the 7th day of the academic term to drop an OCICU course without financial penalty. Drops can be completed in WebAdvisor, in person at any Regis campus or by calling Student Accounts at 303.458.4126 or 800.568.8932.

Non-Participation Drops

If you are taking an OCICU course and you do not meet the providing institution's participation policy by the 7th day of the academic term, you will be automatically dropped from your course. Once dropped, student can not be re-enrolled.

Withdrawal Policy

You will be able to withdraw from an OCICU course Regis’ withdrawal policy; however, there will be no refund of tuition.

Technical Assistance

The institution providing your course will need to resolve any technical issues you may have. Contact information will be provided in course information email from the provider institution.

Academic Issues

Please contact the OCICU Help Line at ocicu@regis.edu or 1.877.740.5959 for all academic issues. Disputes are handled through the process designated by the providing institution; however, if you contact the OCICU Help Line, the Regis University liaison will assist you through the process.

Final Grades and Transcripts

Final Grades

Your final grade will be submitted to Regis University by the providing institution and will not be available to view on WebAdvisor until 10 to 14 business days after your course has concluded.

OCICU students are subject to the providing institution's incomplete course policy.

An "Incomplete" grade will be posted for your course until your final grade is received from the providing institution.

You do not need to request a transcript from the institution providing your course. Grades for all OCICU courses will appear on your Regis University transcript.
