Writing: We offer two online appointment formats: Live Chat and Paper Drop-off (in MST). Tutoring: We offer online support in several subjects. How do I cancel/modify/reschedule an appointment? Appointments may be canceled/modified/rescheduled via the scheduler. If you cannot attend an appointment, you must cancel it at least 1 hour ahead by i) logging into your account, ii) opening your appointment form, and iii) clicking “Cancel This Appointment”. You may also reschedule your appointment at any time in the scheduler. If you are absent from 3 appointments without notifying us ahead of time, your account is automatically disabled. It can be reinstated by contacting TLC. If you are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment without notifying us ahead of time, your appointment may be granted to another Regis member. When your appointment time has ended, extra time to accommodate lateness will not be provided. Who can use The Learning Commons' services? Any Regis University student, faculty, staff, and alumni can work with The Learning Commons. How much do appointments cost? Appointments are of no extra cost to Regis University students, faculty, staff, and alumni. How many appointments can I make per day or week? Depending on tutor availability, we offer up to 1 hour a day, 3 hours a week (Monday through Sunday) via the scheduler. How long is an appointment? In-person: 30 or 60 minutes Online: 60 minutes What should I bring to my appointment? Please bring everything you can think of that will help you and your tutor/writing coach make the most of your session. This includes, and is not limited to, your assignment, rubric, syllabus, textbook(s), research literature, writing tools, and, of course, your undivided attention and willing participation. Can I drop off assignments or homework and pick them up later? For in-person sessions, students may not drop off assignments and must work alongside tutors/writing coaches. Can I receive help with take-home exams? Students may not seek assistance with take-home exams without prior written instructor-permission. Can I bring my kid or pet to my appointment or to study in The Learning Commons? To be respectful of tutors, staff, and other students, please do not bring children or non-service animals to appointments. Where will my in-person appointment take place?
