Learning through Experience
The Academic Internship Program in Regis College works closely with students, professors, and employers to create experiential learning opportunities that enhance students’ academic, personal, and professional development.
Internships are an integral part of a Regis liberal arts education and foster vocational discernment. Through our Internship Program, students in any discipline can engage in learning-work experiences in the Denver metro area or around the US with internship partners such as nonprofits, small businesses, corporations, government agencies, labs, and schools. Mentored by their internship professor and site supervisor, students integrate concepts from their discipline with field experience, guided reflection and vocational discernment. Also, internships help students develop skills that are valued post-graduation: the ability to work in teams, adaptability, critical and creative thinking, and written and oral communication. Over 140 students per year participate in an academic internship!
