The Future of Regis
The Jesuit tradition at Regis University constitutes our institutional foundation, embodied through thoughtful discernment across every department and office. Our Jesuit heritage serves as the moral compass for navigating today's educational challenges, emphasizing thoughtful discernment over rigid adherence in serving our community. We draw upon centuries of Jesuit wisdom emphasizing intellectual rigor and compassionate service, maintaining unwavering commitment to these principles while adapting to meet the needs of today's students and tomorrow's global citizens.
Vision for Regis
Interim President Rev. D. Scott Hendrickson, S.J., D.Phil., is leading Regis to develop a reinvigorated culture of academic excellence through the pursuit of liberal arts, expansive critical thinking and creative expression.
Strategic Plan
The Strategic Planning Committee is pleased to share the final draft of the institution’s Strategic Plan.
Regis University’s strategic plan draws on our mission statement and builds on the tremendous history that has led us to the present moment. It will enable us to imagine new priorities and initiatives to continue providing a transformative education at “the frontiers of faith, reason and culture.”
Campus Master Plan
Regis University is revising its master plan for the eastern edge of the Northwest Denver Campus, along Federal Boulevard and between 50th and 53rd avenues, to function as a real estate endowment. Income would be generated from leases on the 27 acres to support University needs, including funding scholarships. Likely uses include housing, offices, retail and community space that would serve the public and the University community. The proposal is now in the City and County of Denver's land development review process. An initial community information meeting has been held, and there will be future opportunities to provide input.
While long-term campus planning continues, Regis has also invested in immediate improvements that benefit students, partners and the surrounding community. In spring 2022, Regis University, Arrupe Jesuit High School and Shea Homes partnered to complete two illuminated, eco-friendly artificial turf fields for the Arrupe Generals and the Regis Rangers. The nylon turf, energy-efficient LED lighting, and water-free design enhance athlete safety, reduce environmental impact, and are projected to save 5.4 million gallons of water in the first year alone.
