Enrollment in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) gives undergraduates and selected graduate students the opportunity to combine academic study with a professional military officer education program. AFROTC allows students to earn a college degree while serving their country, balancing a typical college lifestyle with military training to develop quality citizens and premier leaders of character.
The Air Force ROTC program is offered to Regis University students in a cross-town agreement with the ROTC headquarters at the University of Colorado Boulder. Cadets are required to drive to Boulder for AS class and LLAB once per week. Air Force ROTC programs lead to a commission in the U.S. Air Force upon receipt of your bachelor's degree.
ROTC cadets can attend any college or school within Regis University. For further details about the Air Force ROTC program, please contact the Military and Veteran Services office.
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) program is essentially a four-year interview process where the Cadre and Cadet Wing educate, train and develop you personally and professionally to become a leader and officer in the United States Air Force and Space Force.
The main difference between AFROTC and other leadership programs is our leadership laboratory. Under the supervision of AFROTC Detachment 105 Cadre, junior and senior cadets, also known as Professional Officer Course (POC) Cadets, are provided the opportunity to lead and manage the freshman and sophomore cadets, known as General Military Course (GMC) Cadets. This provides an opportunity for cadets to learn how to follow and lead in a safe and challenging environment that demands excellence.
AFROTC is offered as a four-year program consisting of three components:
Completion of a two-week summer training program is required prior to entry into the Professional Officer Course.
