Vote now for Regis virtual tour to win a Webby Award

April 05, 2016

Before there was Oculus Rift, the first immersive virtual reality gaming system that debuted last month, there was Oculus Rift, the Regis University virtual reality tour.

Regis’ Admissions office debuted its 360-degree virtual reality headset last year at college fairs. It allows prospective students to visually experience what it’s like to walk across campus, get creative in the sculpture studio, sit in the nearby Red Rocks natural amphitheater, and even fly over campus. The result so far has been a dramatic increase in applications.

Now the virtual tour is up for Webby Award, the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet including websites, online film and video, advertising, mobile sites, applications and social media.

To vote for Regis, visit Registration is required to cast your ballot. The competition includes CNN, the National Film Board of Canada, and Gentleman Scholar, a video production company.
