March 25 conference to look at issues women face in the workplace
March 10, 2017
Regis University will host its inaugural Women and Leadership Conference, a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities women face in the workplace, on March 25.
The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Claver Recital Hall (it was moved from Room 307 due to large attendance numbers).
The conference includes three notable speakers from Regis University, who will look at the current situation women face, as well as institutional, organizational and individual issues.
Regis University professors Maria Alejandra Quijada and Eve Passerini as well as Jenna Oliver, who leads strategic communications for the College of Business and Economics, will present.
The conference is free but those interested are asked to register by March 18 at www.regis.edu/womensconference. A full schedule and speaker bios are available at the website.
Issues covered include pay gap, achievement gap, nonlinear careers and ambition. The goal is for attendees to have a better understanding of the issues and leave the conference with a plan of action.
The conference is sponsored by The Women’s and Gender Studies Program, WELL Center at the College of Business and Economics and Henry Wurst Inc.
