Linda Osterlund has been named the next academic dean of the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, effective in August. Linda is currently vice provost in the Office of Provost and professor in RHCHP’s Division of Counseling and Family Therapy. She served as associate dean of the Division of Counseling and Family Therapy for three years, and as chair/coordinator of the Regis University Graduate Counseling program in Colorado Springs. Linda has had a teaching role at Regis since 2005, first as an affiliate faculty, advancing to assistant professor, associate professor and professor.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the College of Letters and Sciences, University of California, Los Angeles; a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado.
Linda brings in-depth knowledge of RHCHP and Regis as a faculty and administrator. She has a passionate commitment to the Jesuit mission and has completed the national Ignatian Colleagues Program (ICP). She currently serves as president of the board of directors of Clinica Tepeyac, a vibrant culturally competent Denver health care provider for the medically underserved. She was recently appointed as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.
Regis would like to thank the search committee’s tireless work under the outstanding leadership of Dr. Mark Reinking, dean of the RHCHP School of Physical Therapy. The search committee included: Tristen Amador, Latoya Braun, Camille Debell, Kim Frisch, Steve Jacobs, Donna Moran, Shari Plantz Masters, Chris Pramuk and Lisa Zenoni. The Committee’s external member was Dana Polansky, vice president of Clinical Services and Risk Manager at Craig Hospital.
