Dr. Wilson's background combines extensive evaluation education with deep practical experience in evaluayion, marketing and philanthropy. He is the President of Effect X, an evaluation consulting company where he’s provided evaluation to organizations ranging from local community initiatives to global leaders and from early childhood education to humanitarian relief. His current clients include Engineers Without Borders, Compassion International, the Early Childhood Education Collaborative of the San Juan Region and he has contributed to teams working with UNICEF and the World Food Program. Kurt’s education includes a BS in Economics from The Colorado College, a Diploma in International Development from the University of London, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Evaluation from Western Michigan University. He is an Affiliate Faculty Member at Regis University, team-teaching with Sophia Friedson-Ridenour in the Masters of Development Practice program.

Kurt’s international evaluation experience includes projects in  Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Uganda, El Salvador, Kenya and London as well as site visits of World Vision programs in thirteen countries.
