Tyler is an active teacher and performer in Colorado. He has performed and recorded throughout the Rocky Mountain region and the Denver metro area with numerous jazz groups. Tyler has performed at international jazz festivals such as the Park City Jazz Festival, Reno Jazz Festival and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. Other performances include City Park Jazz, KUVO 89.3 performance studio and the Arvada Summer Concert series. He performs regularly with his own group, Tyler Farr Quartet. Tyler has shared the stage with several International jazz musicians including Eric Marienthal, Carl Saunders, Denis DiBlasio, Ed Calle, and Jim McNeely. Tyler has publications in DownBeat Magazine and Saxophone Journal.

Tyler Farr teaches Applied Saxophone at Regis University. In addition to teaching at Regis, Tyler is a music educator at Mary E. Pennock Elementary in School District 27J.
