Robyn Julyan has taught applied violin at Regis since 2011.
Ms. Julyan has held positions with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Charleston Symphony, and the Sarasota Opera, and is a member of the Opera Colorado Orchestra. Each August she performs as a member of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, CA, a summer orchestra devoted to the performance of new music, and in 2016, Ms. Julyan joined the faculty of Orvieto Musica as Director of the Intensive Strings program, a summer chamber music performance workshop in Orvieto, Italy.
She has been a featured performer in festivals and concerts around the country, including the Albuquerque Chamber Soloists, Loon Lake Live, Piccolo Spoleto Festival's Spotlight Series, the Charleston Chamber Players, Denver Eclectic Concerts, and the Breckenridge Music Festival's Winter Series. She is a member of the Playground Ensemble, the Rocky Mountain Region's premier new music group.
Ms. Julyan is a native of Albuquerque, N.M., where she began violin lessons at the age of three. She holds a Master's of Music in Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with department head David Updegraff. She received her Bachelor's in Music Performance from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD, where she studied with Tokyo Quartet member Martin Beaver and former Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony, Herbert Greenberg.
