Tanner Kelly directs the Musical Theater Ensemble at Regis University. He is also an active educator, performer and henry nominated music director around the Denver-Metro area. He is the Executive Music And Education Director for Inspire Creative where he has directed, performed, conducted, contracted and music directed MainStage shows, summer programs, and choirs for the last 10 years, as well as starting the Inspire Young Artist Program. For the last 5 seasons, Tanner has music directed for the PACE center in Parker with Inspire, a partnership that has received 15 Henry Nominations the last two years, including his nominations for Outstanding Musical Director for Hairspray in 2018, and Outstanding Production of a Musical for Spamalot in 2017. Tanner music directed and conducted the prestigious 2017 Henry Awards, is the Artistic Director/Conductor of the Aurora Singers and is the Musical Theatre Ensemble Director at Regis University, where he serves as a music faculty member. Tanner has directed and music directed for groups such as Stagedoor Theatre, Dylan's Down With the Arts, St. Luke's Performing Arts Academy, and has been in the pit orchestra for companies such as Performance Now and Ignite Theatre. Tanner is the Founder of “Music@Mainstreet,” in Parker, which provides private theatre, music, dance and performing arts lessons to all ages. Tanner is also a musical theatre and acting judge for Denver's Thespian Conference and is a performing arts, theatre and music teacher for the Douglas County School District, where he also has an Apple nomination for Outstanding teaching. In 2016, Tanner was selected as the founding Department Chair of the Performing Arts as well as serving as the founding Choral and Musical Theatre Director, for Parker Performing Arts, a DCSD charter. Tanner now serves as an administrator and the Artistic Education Director at Parker Performing Arts.
