Denise Renee O'Dell PT,DSc,PT is an Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy. She received her DScPT degree from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and BA in Biology from the University of Indianapolis. Since 1997, Dr. O'Dell has held clinical practice and supervisory roles in varied practice settings: acute care, inpatient and subacute rehab, and outpatient clinics always seeking opportunities to work with clients with neurologic conditions. She received her Neurologic Clinical Specialist Certification (NCS) in 2004. Dr. O'Dell has also been actively engaged in clinical education at many levels, receiving the Clinical Instructor of the Year award from the Colorado Chapter of the APTA in 2015. She is currently elected as Co-Chair of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy Online Education Committee. Her research has been focused on balance in individuals with chronic Traumatic Brain Injury and functional recovery following Spinal Cord Injury.
