Lyndsey Lovell teaches Art History courses at Regis. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master’s degree in Art History from Lindenwood University. Her passion for art history extends beyond studying works of art to understanding the people, stories and beliefs behind them. Her master’s thesis, Bricks of Life, Bricks of Death: Unveiling the Shared Essence of Birth and Magical Bricks in Ancient Egypt, explored the connections between ancient Egyptian birth rituals and funerary practices.
As an educator, Lyndsey believes art history should be engaging, accessible and relevant to everyone. She encourages students to look beyond memorizing names and dates and instead ask questions, explore different perspectives and discover how art reflects the world in which it was created. Her goal is to help students develop a genuine appreciation for art while building critical thinking skills they can carry beyond the classroom.
Lyndsey lives in Lone Tree, Colorado, with her husband and son. When she isn’t teaching or exploring art history, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, swimming and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer. She believes curiosity and a love of learning can open doors to new perspectives and a deeper understanding of the world around us.
