Sarah Cain

Sarah Cain (she/her/hers) teaches applied voice at Regis. She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at CU-Boulder, graduating in May of 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education (K-12) and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Central Arkansas.

During her graduate studies, Sarah received the Artist Development Award from the inaugural Kristin Lewis Foundation Scholarship Competition. Since 2014, she has taught private voice and piano lessons. At CU-Boulder, Sarah centered much of her research and academic studies around the inclusion and incorporation of underrepresented and/or marginalized composers into the Western classical music canon, promoting their works in recitals, competitions, and personal research documents. Credits with the Eklund Opera program include: Mimì (La Bohème), Agrippina (Agrippina), and Mutter (Hänsel und Gretel).

Most recently, Sarah completed her pedagogical dissertation, An Approach to Vocal Pedagogy for Diverse Learning Needs, which discusses solutions to aid in the minimization of the physical and mental stress experienced by students with diverse learning needs within the private voice studio, while providing the necessary tools to continually encourage, foster, and assist in the advancement of their skills as a singer, musician, and performer.
