Dr. Miller has been training and supervising Marriage and Family Therapy students since 2007. She has been working therapeutically with couples, families, and individuals since 2000, and specializes in working with multiracial families, high conflict couples, and women who have experienced sexual trauma. Dr. Miller is a certified Filial Family Therapy instructor and in addition to her work with students, supervises graduates in the process of earning their LMFT and individuals pursuing their credentials as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
After completing her clinical and research training at Texas Tech University, Miller had the great pleasure to join the faculty of Saint Louis University where she trained Couple and Family Therapists and Medical Family Therapists for seven years before transitioning to teach at Regis University. She is a clinical fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education and served as the Ethics Chair for the Missouri Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She also has specialized training as a Filial Therapist and Instructor. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Miller believes staying clinically active, both as a therapist and supervisor enhances her effectiveness as a trainer in my field. Her practice focuses on work with adoptive families, infertility, and families encountering difficult life transition. Finally, she enjoys supervising professionals working toward their AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation.
