Nan Williams joined Regis University in 1992. She earned her B.A. from East Stroudsburg University, her M.A. in Curriculum Planning and Administration from Georgian Court University and her Principal Certification from Georgian Court University. She taught at Rutgers University in the Recreation Department, was the Physical Education Department Chair at Georgian Court University and served as the Program Director of the Physical Education Department at Regis University.
After joining Regis University, Nan taught a variety of courses and developed a Minor in Coaching for Regis University students. Nan has over 30 years of experience teaching courses in Wellness and Physical Education. The courses include: Ice Climbing, Rock Climbing, Outdoor Leadership, Weight Training, Backpacking, Sport Ethics, Personal Wellness, Exploring Hiking through Wellness, Exercise Principles, Responding to Emergencies and Nutrition through Wellness. Nan’s courses involved an active learning process. Nan’s goals for her students were to develop the whole person through transformative learning and to empower her students to be engaged, to be leaders and to care for themselves and others.
