Lynn Wimett

Dr. Wimett, professor and a retired Army Nurse Corp LTC, has been a full-time faculty member at Regis University in Denver Colorado, Loretto Heights School of Nursing since 1991. Her nursing career included roles as a medical-surgical staff nurse, ICU nurse, ED nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Director of Nursing Education, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing and finally as an Advanced Practice Primary Care Nurse and educator. She holds a BSN, MS in nursing, MS in personnel management, a Doctorate in Education and a Post Master's Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Her current research is studying how to best incorporate Inter-professional learning opportunities and advancing technology into courses to maximize learning and motivation for going beyond learning concepts to application to practice of evidence-based, ethical principles. She is also interested in driving the Eden Culture in Long Term Care. Her passion is working with great nurses like you, and watching you advance your knowledge base, skill set, and career as you become a leader in service of others respecting all value systems while providing ethical, caring, evidenced based health care.
