Mayra is a Licensed Professional Counselor with significant experience working with the Latinx population, she is Bilingual (English/Spanish) and has a passion for providing therapy services to monolingual Spanish speaking clients and serving first generation students for whom cultural factors are important. Mayra enjoys utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Solution Focused, Mindfulness and Trauma-based practices such as Brain spotting. She approaches therapy with the lenses of client’s motivation to change and likes empowering them to succeed considering present goals.
