Amanda Hine

Amanda Hine is an Associate Professor of Health Care Ethics in the Division of Health Services Education. She received her PhD in Healthcare Ethics from Saint Louis University and her MA in Bioethics from Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Hine’s areas of interests focus on clinical and applied ethics, especially in the areas of decision making capacity and informed consent. For Dr. Hine, the true work of bioethics must occur as a collaboration between both academic work and clinical practice. In addition to her position as a faculty member, Dr. Hine participates in several other healthcare ethics related activities in the community. These activities include memberships on a number of healthcare ethics committees in the Denver area, work as a clinical ethics consultant, and membership on the Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum Board of Directors.
