Helen Rabello Kras received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Kentucky. Her primary areas of study are comparative politics and international relations. Her research and teaching interests include political violence, violence against women, women’s political representation, and public opinion. Dr. Kras’s broader research agenda explores public opinion and political behavior in Latin America, with a special focus on her home country Brazil. Her current research explores the effect of policies designed to combat violence against women on citizens' political attitudes.
