Michele Claiborne

Dr. Michele Claiborne is a Professor of Acute Care Internal Medicine and the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Regis University School of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed residency training in Family Medicine/Ambulatory Care with an emphasis in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital. Dr. Claiborne is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Her practice interests include hepatology, cardiology, nephrology and Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Claiborne teaches in the pharmacotherapy, laboratory and simulation courses at Regis University School of Pharmacy, and she has precepted over 100 4th-year pharmacy students on clinical rotation. Dr. Claiborne serves as the course director and an instructor in the pharmacy Capstone course. She is a three-time recipient of the Regis University School of Pharmacy Award for Teaching Excellence, two-time recipient of the Faculty Preceptor of the Year Award, and recipient of the 2024 RHCHP Faculty Senior Teaching Award. Dr. Claiborne's research interests include religious sensitivity in health care, and scholarship of teaching and learning, including inter-professional education, clinical rotation assessment, capstone formation and residency training.
