Rebecca Downey

Dr. Downey received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in 2009. She is a board certified cardiovascular and pulmonary specialist through the APTA. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient and family-centered care to her patients and enjoys working in critical care and with patients with complex diagnoses. She is also interested in the cardiovascular benefits and changes with endurance athletes.

She has practiced as a physical therapist for over 12 years and her primary clinical areas have been treating complex patients in acute care settings and in the intensive care units. Dr. Downey is passionate about teaching in a way that combines the message of Cura Personalis with evidence-based and clinically relevant practice.

Dr. Downey also enjoys spending time adventuring with her family, long-distance running in the mountains and participating in local running events.
