Suzanne Holm

Dr. Suzanne Holm is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience in adult rehabilitation settings. She is board certified in Physical Rehabilitation through AOTA. She joined Regis University in 2015 as the Academic Program Coordinator for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) distance-hybrid program. The Creighton-Regis pathway OTD program is a unique partnership between two Jesuit Universities to address a lack of occupational therapy practitioners, especially in elderly and rural practices within the Rocky Mountain region.

She is dedicated to creating excellent and ethical practitioners committed to helping others and the profession. Her learning and education philosophy is based on the belief that effective learning is an active, experiential process where the learner is committed to the process, can learn from mistakes, and helps others understand. From her academic mentor, she strives to apply what she learned: that education is more than just the delivery of the curriculum; it is an extension of the instructor's history, expectations, and hopes for the students' development toward engagement in authentic occupational therapy practice and professional development (Hooper, 2010).
