Enterprise Systems Engineering Career Paths

Cloud Engineer

Cloud Engineers are in charge of all IT tasks that relate to cloud computing. Cloud Engineers usually chose to specialize or focus in a certain type of cloud computing rather than technology as a whole.


Systems Engineer

Systems Engineers manage network setup, maintenance on servers such as email and other IT environments and are responsible for assuring that employees have a stable technology work environment.


Database Architect

Data Architects are responsible for constructing and maintaning a company's database. After creating the database, Data Architects should not only be monitoring the database but also making themselves available to fix issues that come up with the database.


DevOps Engineer

The primary responsibility of DevOps Engineers is to oversee code releases. DevOps Engineers should expect to do lots of collaboration with others such as IT professionals and software developers.


Database Administrator

Database Administrators are responsible for organizing data through the use of software. The role of Database Administrators can include multiple responsibilities such as database design, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.


Network Architect

Network Architects/Engineers design a variety of networks such as computer networks, local area networks, wide area networks and other communications systems. Network Architects should expect to test all networks after designing them.
