So, you're out in the field and doing what you love but feel there is yet something more to be accomplished? The Master of Science Completion Option (MSCO) is designed specifically for certified nurse practitioners who wish to earn a master's degree without changing their clinical specialty.

Students are required to earn a minimum of 30 semester hours to complete this graduate degree in nursing. The curriculum includes areas that promote the principles of a master of science degree, including theoretical frameworks, ethics, policy and research.

Prerequisites

Applicants must be nationally certified in a nurse practitioner specialty, and have recent clinical experience in the specialty. You must meet the admissions requirements which include a current unencumbered RN license, a BSN from a regionally-accredited institution and a cumulative GPA above 2.75.

Accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science degree in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs at Regis University’s Loretto Heights School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

How to Apply

To apply directly to the M.S. Nursing completion program, you will need:

  • Completed online application
  • Nursing bachelor's degree from a NLN or AACN-CCNE accreditation program
  • Official degree-bearing transcript(s) from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Resume
  • Essay
  • 3 recommendations
  • Active RN license

Tuition for the 23-24 Academic Year: $785 per credit hour
Total program credits: 30-31 credit hours

Rolling Admission

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. It is recommended you apply to this program at least 1 month prior to your desired start date to prepare for your first class.

Program starts are offered in January, May and August.
