Izzy Sanderson, M.A.

Graduate Intern

Izzy Sanderson received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Gender studies from Kenyon College in 2011. Upon graduating college, she moved to Portland, Oregon and worked with the adolescent population in community mental health. She then worked in a clinical capacity at Planned Parenthood in the Willamette Valley. Izzy is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. She is absolutely thrilled to join the team at Regis’ Office of Counseling and Personal Development. She believes that vulnerability and genuineness are daily strivings that help us to foster deep connections with ourselves and with others.

Izzy works from a compassionate and relational place and hope to meet each individual client exactly where they are, meaning that her therapeutic approach is integrative and multi-faceted. She believes that the therapeutic relationship has the power to be incredibly healing. Her goal in therapy is to help clients to come in contact with their internal worlds and find a sense of deeper self-cohesion. Izzy is excited to work with the Regis student community and support them during this significant period of their lives.
