Richard Williams, M.A.

Graduate Intern

Richard is a 3rd year doctoral student at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. He holds a BA in English Literature from Washington & Lee University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Brown University. He moved to Denver from New York City, where he worked at The NYU Hospital RUSK Institute of Rehabilitation – Traumatic Brain Injury Program.

In addition to neuropsychology, Richard’s professional interests include psychodynamic and systems theory, community psychology, and performance psychology. His approach to therapy is collaborative, collegial, and relational. He believes therapy should be challenging but even more so empowering. Prior to his experience in the field of psychology, Richard had an extensive career in film, television, and theater as a writer and director. He is originally from Philadelphia, PA.
