Robert “Roby” Blust has more than 30 years of experience in higher education in the fields of enrollment and admissions, including serving as Regis’ director of admissions from 1991-94. He also has been the chief enrollment officer at Edgewood College, Loyola University Chicago, and most recently, at Marquette University, where he worked for the past 17 years. Blust returned to Regis in July 2014 and assumed the role of vice president of enrollment management.
Blust has served on state, regional and national committees that help shape policies for college-bound students. He oversaw a highly successful admissions program at Marquette that saw applications rise from 5,000 to more than 25,000 during his tenure.
Blust grew up in southwestern Wisconsin and holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from St. Louis University as well as a bachelor’s degree in biology from Brown University. His educational and career experience at four Jesuit universities fuel his passion for Jesuit higher education. He also is a graduate of the Ignatian Colleagues Program.
As vice president of enrollment management, Blust oversees the offices of Admissions, Enrollment Services, Marketing and Communications, Athletics, and Business Intelligence. This recently reconfigured division aligns the University’s resources to build on the strong and innovative enrollment programs currently present at Regis.
