Our Primary Care Services

Regis Neighborhood Health nurse practitioners work collaboratively with the health care team to assess, diagnose, and treat minor acute and stable chronic diseases, through education, health promotion, medication management, and individualized care. This may include prescribing medications or referrals to specialists. Our approach includes treatment of the following:

  • Management of stable chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol
  • Wellness coaching for lifestyle changes such as obesity
  • Breathing conditions (asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease)
  • Review of specialty conditions
  • Support and review of best practices for self-monitoring of specific conditions.
  • Diabetes monitoring and education
  • Sports physicals
  • Immunization review and administration
  • Acute conditions including cold/flu, ear infections, strep throat, bladder infections, sinus infections, and other minor illnesses

Our Nurse Practitioners

Courtney Duggan, RN, MS, FNP-C

Courtney Duggan, received her Master’s in Nursing, at Regis University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She believes Regis Neighborhood Health will offer high quality, comprehensive primary care services individualized for each patient, with the patient’s goals at the forefront of the care plan. Her clinical experience includes Family Practice, Occupational Medicine, and Urgent Care. As a full-time Regis faculty and a Regis graduate, she works to serve others and provide care in a holistic manner consistent with each patient’s own value system. Her previous nursing experience is in the field of critical care, telemetry and pediatric nursing. Nurse Practitioners are educated to provide a wide range of primary care services.  Nurse Practitioners are able to assess, diagnose and treat minor acute and stable chronic illnesses as well as prescribing medications when indicated and refer to specialists or other providers as needed. 

Fr. Dirk Dunfee, S.J.

Father Dirk Dunfee, S.J., has a rich and varied history starting in California. He studied philosophy at Claremont McKenna College. Fr. Dirk graduated in 1984 from the School of Law at Duke University, which is also where he became a Roman Catholic. He practiced law for a few years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In August, 1987, he entered the Society of Jesus. His initial studies as a Jesuit took place in Denver, and he spent two years in Zimbabwe, Africa, teaching at a regional seminary. Ordained to the priesthood in 1997, he served at two Jesuit parishes in Missouri: St. Matthew the Apostle in St. Louis, and St. Francis Xavier in Kansas City. He returned to school in 2005, graduating from Oregon Health & Science University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program, in Portland. After passing his certification exam, he was proud to provide health care to the uninsured and underinsured at Family Health Care in Kansas City, Kansas. In early 2014 he was reassigned to Regis University in Denver. Now half-time at Regis, he works in the Mission Office and sees patients at Regis Neighborhood Health, the university’s clinic. He is very happy to be half-time as well at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, at 23rd and York in Denver – Colorado’s only Jesuit parish. He and his faithful and sweet-tempered dog, Rags, live with the Jesuits in the rectory at Loyola.

Tracy Youse, FNP-C

Tracy Youse, received her RN, BSN from the University of Colorado in 1998, and after 10 years of practice in ICU & PACU, returned to school to obtain her Master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Regis University in 2010. Since then she has worked in Family Medicine and Urgent Care. Tracy is very excited to participate in Regis Neighborhood Health with its unique approach with emphasis on health promotion and wellness. When not working in healthcare, she lives in Golden with my husband, daughter, and 2 dogs either enjoying Colorado's beautiful outdoors or working on artistic projects. 

Roxanne England

Roxane England, MS RN

Roxane England, MS RN received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Dakota. She has over 25 years of experience working with patients diagnosed with a severe mental illness. Working in a variety of areas with this population, she is committed to bringing together primary care and behavioral health in caring for all patients. Ms. England has worked with patients in school settings, occupational/employee health, senior clinics, corrections, in-patient and out-patient mental health settings. After years working in this area, she found her passion in teaching and received her Masters of Science in Leadership in Healthcare Systems with a focus on education from Regis University. Currently teaching full-time in the undergraduate programs at the Loretto Heights School of Nursing, Roxane is a founding nurse and the clinical manager of Regis Neighborhood Health. She is committed to bringing compassionate, holistic care to all individuals in need.
