Becoming Engaged Citizens

Ignatian Village Community Living

Named for St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, the Ignatian Village is an off campus housing option for students who want to extend the Jesuit principle of serving others to their home lives. Residents aim to continue to develop social awareness, professional aspirations and leadership skills. Ignatian Village is comprised of two Living Learning Communities: Ignatian Leadership and Healthcare Professions. Both communities require additional involvement beyond occasional programming and investment of a few hours each week connecting with housemates and working on community goals.

The various off campus houses are located within a few block of campus and consist of sophomore, junior and seniors. Houses are co-ed and include shared bathrooms, a full kitchen, and fully furnished living and dining rooms. Bedrooms are furnished with extra-long twin beds, a dresser, bookshelf, desk and chair. Additionally, each home is equipped with cable, a landline, wireless internet and a washer and dryer.
Beer and wine is permitted for residents over the age of 21, if in accordance with the Residence Life alcohol policy.
