Denver, Aug. 31, 2016 – Regis University is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Master of Nonprofit Management on Friday, Sept. 9. The celebration begins at 2:15 p.m. in the Mountain View Room on the University’s Northwest Denver Campus, 3333 Regis Blvd. in Denver.

Christine Marquez-Hudson, Regis Master of Nonprofit Management alumna and Denver Foundation CEO, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Marquez-Hudson will speak at 5:15 p.m.

Marquez-Hudson credits Regis with helping advance her career. The Master of Nonprofit Management program changed her life, as it has for many graduates.

“Not only did the program teach me all the aspects of nonprofit management, it taught me to lead from within; it taught me about servant leadership; it taught me about courageous leadership,” said Marquez-Hudson. “It also connected me with a network of colleagues. We have supported each other in countless ways throughout our careers. That’s what makes Regis’ program so special.”

Tim Keane, academic dean of the College of Business and Economics agrees and argues  that in order to overcome some of the world’s most pressing challenges, we must embrace the best collaborative efforts of individuals, businesses, governments and nonprofits.

“For the last 25 years, our Master of Nonprofit Management degree program has been in the forefront of developing values-driven leaders who understand this,” he said. “As part of our new College of Business and Economics, our program will continue to make this difference as we seek innovative solutions to our complex local and global challenges.”
