Let’s Get Weird

At Regis, we asked around, and these were the top 5 things (in no particular order) that people found to be unusually satisfying:

  1. Cleaning a dry-erase board
  2. Sinking your hands into Play-Doh™
  3. Teeth Cleaning
  4. Sneezing
  5. Removing your boots after a long day of skiing

An interesting note: nowhere on this list did we see anything about one’s career. We’re guessing that’s because, normally, when ruminating about our job, we tend not to think about it as unusual. In fact, we try to remain as usual as possible. Don’t rock the boat, meet the numbers, put in your time and clock out.

It seems, however, that it’s the out-side-the-box activities that can be so fulfilling and intellectually titillating. At Regis University, we believe now is the time to translate that into our everyday lives and careers.

Join us on October 25 for our Business Unusual Symposium. The open discussion will feature local leaders and entrepreneurs who are redefining business as usual. We’ll look at some of the progressive ideologies and unexpected methods that are driving their trail-blazing successes.

This event is also a chance to see how a Regis education can help you contribute to your community and the greater good through your new skillset in divergent thinking. Come discover how our undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs can lead to an ultimately unusually satisfying career.

We hope to see you there.
