Janet Lee, dean of Regis’ Dayton Memorial Library, recently joined the list of honored recipients of the Magis Medal.

The Magis Medal was originally developed as part of the Centennial celebration of Alpha Sigma Nu (ASN) in 2015, and has been awarded every year since to members who best exemplify scholarship, loyalty and service in their work to make the world a better place.

Lee previously served in the Peace Corps and spent 10 months in Ethiopia last year on a Fulbright Scholar Award, expanding open-access to libraries and first-language children’s books as part of the Foundation Library project.

“I think there is much to be said about leading lives that matter,” said Lee. “I am pleased to represent Regis University as a double graduate and as an employee who demonstrates scholarship, loyalty and service in the way I lead my life and in my daily work.”
