Commitment to our Students
I have always felt extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Regis family. I have commented frequently when I have walked across the campus and looked over at Main Hall, I whispered my gratitude and could not help but smile and think about the following quote
"They may forget your name but they will never forget how you made them feel." ~ Maya Angelou
I believe our students are the reason for our existence and this belief permeates Regis University and Loretto Heights School of Nursing. Our students will go out into the community and share their knowledge, skills and abilities with the individuals they will provide care to. They will touch human beings for their entire nursing career and we have a responsibility here to mentor our nursing students to become the best "Regis University Nurse" they can be.
Maya Angelou is correct, our students will remember the laughter, joy, tears, excitement, and sense of accomplishment from their experiences at Regis. We are responsible for them while they are here and when they leave, they take with them the best we have to offer as they go out into the world and make a real difference.
