Every faculty member brings his or her own set of values to the classroom. The most important aspects of my teaching philosophy include authenticity, student-centeredness, inclusivity, and leadership by example. My integrity and honesty light my teaching path in working with our students. Every student has the potential to make a difference and I want my classroom to be exemplary of this opportunity to lead patients and colleagues to experience and deliver better healthcare for all, respectively. My areas of academic and research interest include misuse/abuse of opioids, the secondary effects of opioid misuse, and leadership and team-based learning. I enjoy helping students become aware of and explore nontraditional career opportunities in pharmacy and healthcare overall.
