Elizabeth (Lizzy) Seay is joining the CCPD staff as a Career Counseling Intern for the 2022-2023 school year. She is a current Master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, aiming to graduate in December of 2023. Lizzy studied Vocal Performance at the University of Texas, until she faced a career crisis of her own. Through reflective work and curiosity, Lizzy recognized her desire to pursue other interests, including Religious Studies and Italian Language. After working for a non-profit in Florence, Italy for the first year out of college, she returned to the states to begin a Master’s in Counseling. In her work with clients at CCPD, Lizzy hopes to foster an environment of exploration, creativity and hope.
“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace” -Frederick Buechner
