Robyn Jackson serves as the Academic Program Coordinator for the First Year Experience Program at Regis College. A proud Denver local and graduate of East High School, Robyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 2009. As a first-generation college student, she was actively involved in the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, through which she conducted and published research exploring identity and educational success in the Black community. Her article, “An ‘Endangered Species’: African American Men in Education—How Mentorship Can Help,” examined the impact of mentorship on academic success, with a focus on the intersections of ethnic identity and gender.
Robyn later earned a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Denver. There she was able to sharpen her knowledge and skills with inclusive excellence. She brings over a decade of experience in higher education, with a focus on both student and academic affairs. Her work is rooted in a strong commitment to social justice, equity, access, and holistic student support.
Outside of her professional life, Robyn enjoys creating and talking about art, savoring good coffee, and spending time with her beloved cats, Ling-Ling and Olivia.
