Shanese McGregor

Originally from Michigan City, Indiana, Shanese McGregor joined the Regis community as the Assistant Director of Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention in December of 2022. Prior to arriving at Regis University, Shanese served as a Victim Resource Specialist and Prevention Educator at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Indianapolis, her Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education at Ball State University, and is currently in a Master’s of Social Work program at Northern Kentucky University. While servicing victims of violence, Shanese has presented her work at NASPA Strategies Conferences, the National Sexual Assault Conference hosted by the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, NOVA’s Campus Training and Technical Assistance Program, and a host of keynote speaking engagements throughout the nation on college campuses.

Shanese is a visionary, advocate, and educator. Much of her work is dedicated to sexual and interpersonal violence at the intersections of race, class, gender, and religious communities. Her passion is serving her community by ensuring safety, providing education, and challenging policies and exposing social constructs that perpetuate injustices. Shanese provides confidential advocacy for the Regis community impacted by sexual violence and intimate partner violence while also providing institutional advocacy on aspects of university response and processes involving sexual misconduct. Shanese also provides guidance for the Regis University Violence Prevention Educators, who provide prevention education, awareness and training regarding violence prevention for the Regis community. When Shanese is not traveling to speak, she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys to planning trips overseas, staying active in the gym, and is an avid foodie.
