Phyllis Graham-Dickerson

A quote from Albert Einstein that Phyllis Graham-Dickerson values and implements in her teaching and mentoring is, “I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.” These conditions incorporate the Jesuit Values of Lifelong Learning, Cura Personalis for self and patients, families and communities. In keeping with these values, Phyllis believes students will be prepared to engage in social justice with a just perspective for all peoples. The ultimate goal is to promote an environment conducive for students to develop empathy, inquisitiveness and creating the desire to learn more. All aspects of her academic role, as leader, teacher, researcher, are captured in how she lives as a transformational servant leader.
