Educational Leadership

Master of Education | Principal Licensure

Lead the next generation of learners.

Providing a safe and productive learning environment to prepare the minds of tomorrow is one of the most important jobs in America. Are you able to rise to the challenge of acting as an advocate, a resource and an inspiration for students and teachers alike? Then you may have what it takes to be a principal or school district leader.

Being a principal or district leader combines the administrative, ethical and fiscal challenges of running an organization with the guidance, foresight and educational requirements of being a teacher. At Regis, you’ll engage in relevant and rigorous learning experiences in the areas of strategic leadership, equity leadership, community leadership, fiscal leadership, policy leadership, instructional leadership and data-literacy leadership.

Principal Licensure Requirements

The M.Ed. Educational Leadership program is a CDE state-approved principal license preparation program. Licensure is subject to the rules of the Colorado Department of Education’s experience requirements. To earn a principal’s license in Colorado, applicants must have three years in a licensed capacity in a school district.
