Opportunities for self-reflection, critical and creative thinking, community outreach and service learning are foundational dimensions of the program regardless of specialization.

Students can elect to complete a dual specialization with approval from an academic success coach. Students who earn a Master of Arts with one specialization may return to Regis after graduation and complete a second specialization for 15 credit hours.

Applied Psychology

Take a deeper dive into the science of human behavior and how people cope and thrive in the modern world. You’ll study psychological theories and learn to apply them to your own life, taking what you learn to better the world through action. You will also gain a strong relationship with faculty experts in designing your academic experience.

Fueling your passion with a Master of Arts degree in Communications will offer you opportunities for self-reflection, critical and creative thinking, community outreach and service learning. You will complete core studies covering graduate transformation and ethics, along with specialization courses in communications dealing with theory and workplace skills.

Creative Writing

Character development. Short stories. Composition of fiction and nonfiction. Do the elements of all forms of writing attract you? You’ll dive into the foundations of everything from novels to business writing by studying others’ works while learning about the publishing industry. If you want to study the works of the greatest literary minds to analyze style and execute your own creative form, this master’s degree is for you.

Environmental Studies

Address environmental issues and learn how to preserve our planet for future generations through an MA with a Specialization in Environmental Studies. You will establish a well-rounded awareness of global sustainability and a deeper understanding of the interdependence between people, planet, and animals. You will study environmental challenges from an interdisciplinary framework that draws on science, philosophy, religion, psychology, and communications, and you will be prepared to participate in future conservation efforts.

Literature

Are you inspired by the works of American and English literature authors? You will explore the fundamentals of classic novels, non-fiction, plays and poetry, while analyzing these works for their meaning. By placing the novel in its period of time, you will gain a deeper meaning of history and how that piece of writing influenced society around it. You’ll have a unique opportunity to dive headlong into this key art form.

Religious Studies

Religious traditions are rooted in history, and constantly affected by globalization and social change. Enrich your global perspective with an MA in Religious Studies. We encourage our students to seek truth, live purposeful lives, and continuously examine and attempt to answer the question: "How ought we to live?" You will have the opportunity to analyze broad questions about culture, social justice, and multiple ways of life by studying how religions are and have been expressed, perceived, and practiced.
