The Regis Oral History Project
As Regis University approaches its 150th anniversary, we reflect on a century and a half of transformation, service and shared experiences. Since 1877, Regis has been shaped by the stories, achievements and memories of its students, faculty, staff and alumni. From classrooms and labs to athletic fields and service immersion projects, every member of the Regis community has contributed to our enduring legacy.
The Regis University Oral History Project seeks to preserve and share these stories by capturing firsthand accounts of what it means to be part of the Regis family at this significant moment in our history.
By sharing your experiences, you help document the people, traditions, values and moments that have defined Regis University and its impact on the world – ensuring they are remembered as we celebrate 150 years and look ahead to the future.
Participating is quick and easy! Keep an eye out for postcards and emails with a phone number to call in and share your story over the phone over the coming months.
During the call, your contact information will be verified to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information in our system. All personal information will be kept confidential and used only for this purpose.
You will be able to buy the Regis University Oral History Project book, but the purchase is absolutely optional! You can just reconfirm your contact information and record your story – no purchase is necessary.
Not sure where to begin? That's okay! What's your favorite Regis story? The one you have told so many times you could tell it by heart. Who is that fellow Ranger you have not seen in years, but when you reconnect, it feels like no time has passed at all? What Regis experience set you on a path you never expected and opened up a world of possibilities?
Still not sure? Consider sharing:
Stories submitted through the Oral History Project will become part of a growing historical archive documenting the evolution of Regis University. Selected stories may be featured in:
Yes, we’ll have a Loretto Heights section in the publication for enduring and endearing stories from the Loretto Heights campus.

Yes. Preserving alumni stories allows Regis to celebrate its history and strengthen the alumni community. Updated contact information also helps the university stay connected with alumni about campus news, events and opportunities.
Regis University and PCI are committed to protecting your personal information.
The information collected will only be used for the Oral History Project and alumni engagement purposes. Your information will not be sold or shared outside of this partnership.
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative of the Regis Oral History Project. The representative will verify the information we have on file for you, make any updates where needed and then ask you to share your story about your time at Regis. Your story will be recorded, and the sound clip provided to Regis at the conclusion of the project.
If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information and submit a story.
Absolutely! The only information that is included in the publication is your name, class year, and degree along with your story and photo. No contact information is printed. When you call to update your contact information, it will be used only to update your alumni record for Regis University. You may revoke consent for your story and/or photo to appear at any time before publication.
You are encouraged to share the Regis experiences that mean the most to you. Whether that’s your academic journey, athletics, service work, study abroad, campus leadership or how Regis shaped your future.
You will receive an email with a link to upload one photo (black and white or color) plus a caption.
If you have also purchased a book but do not have an email address on file, you will be sent a photo mailer to send in a physical photo to be printed (note: the photo will be returned if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope).
No. There is no obligation to purchase anything to participate in the Oral History Project. Sharing your story is free.
At the end of the project, participants will have the option to purchase the commemorative publication if they wish.
Please contact PCI’s customer service team and someone will take care of this for you.
If you purchased a book or a package, your items will ship by November 2027 – just in time for Regis’ 150th anniversary celebration!
